BRIGHT RAYS SPONSORED FOOD AND DONATED CLOTHES TO CANCER PATIENTS

The Cancer Institute in Adyar, Chennai, has about 250 cancer patients. This charitable institute treats cancer patients who cannot afford treatment or have been disowned by family, after being diagnosed with the disease.
On 12/05/16, Bright Rays sponsored Lunch for the 250 patients and about 50 employees at the Adyar Cancer Institute. In addition, about 20 shorts, 20 T-Shirts, 20 veshtis (dhotis)/towels and 3 sarees were donated to the patients. It was a heart-warming experience but at the same time, it made us realize how much more can be done to help these patients.
It is well known that cancer treatment is very expensive. The management is in dire need of funds to provide the best possible care to the patients. They requested that Bright Rays do their best to bring more funds to the institute. As they depend heavily on donations, I urge you to please send in your donations to the account provided. Please remember that every little bit will make a difference to a needy cancer patient.
Each breakfast, lunch or dinner sponsorship is Rs.3000 (about $45) and includes food for the 300 patients and staff. Please call ahead of time to book a date to sponsor food.The sponsor can interact with the patients in the dining hall. If you're in the Chennai area, please go spend time with them, all they want is to be loved!
